Ever since Emmon moved in an EBM direction, they have successfully fused their pop background with harder sounds and rhythms. For this track, Emma Nylén is joined on vocals by Agent Side Grinder’s Emanuel Åström, lending a more industrial feel to proceedings.
From the Metamatic-esque opening, “Purebloods” is imprinted with influences from the alternative music scene of the past forty years. The call and response between Nylén and Āström works well over gated saws, and the blend signals good things to come on the next album.
